Originally from Bali, Indonesia, pianist and composer Zerlina Devi is quickly emerging as a star in the music scene today. She was the youngest of three children to local business owners. At an early age she started taking piano lessons as a family tradition. Her father’s love of jazz led her to discover her own passion through her fondest memories of singing along to records in the car.

As Zerlina continued her musical passage, she studied with many renowned jazz musicians in Indonesia as well as at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA; where she double majored in jazz composition and piano performance. Complementing Zerlina’s already mature sound was a slew of professors such as Joanne Brackeen, Tim Ray, Dave Santoro and Greg Hopkins- mentoring and giving her a platform to share her voice. Since graduating with summa cum laude in 2015, she has had the honor to work and share the stage with George Benson, Joey DeFransesco, Tony Monaco, Maurice Brown, Aaron Goldberg, Billy Childs, Vijay Iyer and many more.

Zerlina has now released her first album consisting of her compositions as well as unique piano playing, where she had the pleasure to have Darren Barrett on her record. She continues to be an active artistic force in the Boston music scene, giving audiences a glimpse of a new voice that they are seeking.
