Gene Taylor is a Brooklyn based songwriter, whose songs are a blend of a throwback soulful feel with light hearted pop sensibilities. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone, MJ and Journey it'd be hard to put a finger on a particular sound, other than it sounds familiar. In 2018 Taylor enlisted Swang to produce his EP Think it Over which will be a 2021 release. Currently Taylor is writing and recording with his side project  Alice Valentine, which will also be releasing an album in 2021.
